Fantastic to see our newly installed cable suspension system at London’s Design Museum put to work with its first exhibition up and running. We designed and installed a bespoke lightweight cable system in the vast atria to facilitate art installations.

Our team worked closely with the museum to design and engineer a system that would facilitate a range of loads and media applications allowing maximum flexibility in the design options for future installations.

The system debuts with an interactive installation created by Mamou-Mani Architects and the Dassault Systèmes Design Studio. Aurora is a 3D modular installation demonstrating the principles of circular architecture from material selection to design.

The installation signals the end of the take-make-waste era and the dawn of built environments conceived for regeneration. With Aurora, visitors will be able to see modules being crushed, melted and reformed, demonstrating the continuous process of regeneration.

Aurora is in place until November 14th. Its replacement is still to be confirmed but with an awe-inspiring giant chandelier among the options, we can be sure to expect drama, beauty, and maximum impact.
