Client: HG Construction
Main Contractor: HG Construction
Architect: Axiom Architects
Material: Steel Frame, timber cladding and standing seam roof
The brief
ARC were approached to design and install two structures to provide some shelter in the communal courtyard. It was important for it to be a spot to stay dry or provide some shade in adverse weather conditions, while also looking attractive from above, since the building is a high rise, with plenty of flats looking down.
Outcome
ARC created a durable and aesthetically pleasing steel frame structure, with timber cladding and a standing seam room. The addition of the green roof is not only a nice addition for local wildlife, in an otherwise built up area, but it provides the benefit of being visually attractive from above too. The space underneath is now perfect for a spot of lunch or a catch-up coffee in the fresh air, and a great addition to the space for all users!
